Dearest Backers!

We wanted to send out a quick update to confirm that our shipping schedule which we outlined in our previous update went ahead as planned. As you can see from the pictures Wednesday's transportation of the UK and EU Orders arrived at the port last week and were packed onto the Shipping Containers and set sail on Sunday the 29th July as scheduled.

Ocean Vessel / Voyage Number:

EDITH MAERSK / V.830W

Port of Discharge FELIXSTOWE

Place of Delivery Date of Shipment 29/JUL/2018

Following Shipments

In the coming days we will be repeating the process and shipping the USA + Orders scheduled to be transported on Wednesday week, due to ship on Sunday 12th of August. Just to remind those who are concerned by this later shipment, the delivery distance will mean the ship will arrive in the U.S Port earlier than the UK and European orders. We will update you with a confirmation of this shipment and estimated delivery dates soon.

We will also be releasing other updates to inform those who are not part of the batches above as soon as we can.

Thank you for sticking with us throughout all the ups and downs of this campaign and helping us create and improve this new product which we are so proud of.

If you have any questions, just email us at [email protected] and we'll get back to you with any additional information we can.

Best Wishes from everyone here!

Dear Swytchers,

Thank you once again for you patience!

This Wednesday 24th July all UK and EU Batch 1 Indiegogo orders will be collected from our warehouse and taken to NINGBO port in China to be loaded onto a ship.

Customs clearance and loading onto the vessel is expected to take 4 days between 25-29 July, and the vessel is due to set sail on Sunday 29th July

Shortly after the vessel sails on the 29th July, we will be able to provide all UK and EU Batch 1 backers a Vessel Tracking Number so you can watch its progress as it travels from China, round India, up through the Suez Canal, round the mediterranean and into Felixstowe port in the UK where it will be unloading, unpacked and all cartons shipped straight to you wonderful backers!

As we speak the USA and ROW Batch 1 orders are being finalised and will soon be transported in the coming weeks to Port. As you may be aware the shipping time is slightly shorter and will therefore reach its destination at a similar time. We will update you again with a specific shipment date for this container as soon as it has been scheduled. Thank you for your patience.

We will keep you as up to date as much as we can, so please keep an eye out for further updates.

A note to Batch 2 backers: We will be updating you as soon as we can and so thank you for your continued patience and support.

Thank you for bearing with us during these very busy weeks - it has been all hands on Deck here and in our packing and distribution factory. We are pleased to have Cerys back in the UK with us now so if you have any questions regarding your orders please just drop us an email at [email protected] and thanks for putting up with a little delay in some of our responses over the last 3 weeks.

Best Wishes from all of us here at Swytch!

Hi there everyone!

This is a very quick note today to anyone who has recently changed their shipping address on the Indiegogo platform.

We exported your data from BackerKit and cross referenced everyones orders a number of times, as you are aware. However, if anyone has recently changed their shipping address on Indiegogo (in the last few weeks), this won't have been reflected on BackerKit AND the cut off point since we have now printed shipping labels on the packaged boxes has now passed. So if anyone requires a change in their delivery address, could you please email us directly at [email protected] so that we can try to update your address when the items arrive at their destination Port in the coming weeks.

Thank you very much and hold tight for another official update coming soon.

Best Wishes,

The Swytch Team

A note from Hayley, Technical Director

“Hi everyone! I’m here in our offices in London today, preparing this update. I am sorry for the delay in getting this out to you. We have been mad at work trying to finalise packing and arrange our shipping containers this week and have made great progress. Shipment is not out yet but it is a matter of days now and we will break this down further for you, hearing from each of us personally.

I am in charge of communicating, as well as I can, this information and pushing things as fast as possible through, so that we don’t delay deliveries any further. It’s been a tough old ride and as a small startup, we owe a lot to your kind support and understanding regarding the production and manufacturing processes which can be so difficult to get right. I say this with genuine sincerity and I know Cerys (whom some of you will know from email conversations) will agree. We are one of the luckiest companies on Indiegogo to have received so much support, especially through our comments page to keep us going strong - since the beginning of the campaign in November. (Big Shout out especially to Tim for your friendly and helpful comments throughout!)

I know it’s a long time to wait for a product, but I hope it can be of some consolation that the product would not exist without your backing - and you WILL be getting your Swytch Kits soon!”

Note from Cerys, Customer Services

Hey Swytchers! Over the past few months I have become very familiar with all your orders and take great pride in working with you to pass on your feedback and your order requests to make sure everything is correct! That is why for the last few weeks whilst items are being packed, I am at our packing factory in China overseeing the final order assemblies and sealing off the crates ready for shipment!

I can definitely confirm, that it is a very complex process and I have experiences first hand how changeable certain factors when manufacturing a brand new product- but I am so excited to see the final product in all its glory, built, tested, packed and ready for delivery! I can’t do it justice with words or pictures but here are a few snaps to share with you from our experience over in China. Along with the team out here, Dmitro and Adam.

I am getting things finished up for Batch 1 and preparing Batch 2 for final production. I will be returning to the UK next week as soon as the first Containers are Shipped and Vessel Tracking numbers sent out to you. I will work with Hayley to get an update to you on Monday with that information and confirmation for you all.  Apologies to those of you who have contacted me directly recently, I have been slower than usual to pick up emails whilst on the ground here helping with organising the orders and packaging details.”

A note from Dmitro, Mechanical Engineer

“Hello Everyone! You may remember me from the Swytch Production Update Videos - I’ve been primarily camped out here in China as your dedicated Engineer making sure the Swytch Kit products are manufactured to the highest quality according to our designs. I am very proud of the Swytch Quick Connect Bracket which has been a complicated component to design and build from scratch - the Tooling of new machinery to build our new product has been expensive, time consuming and fraught with new challenges. I am so pleased we have managed to maintain, if not improve, on the quality of the final product and thank you for your patience which has made this all possible!

It has been a long journey for me personally but am so happy that we have reached this point, so close to shipment. Please hold tight for the final update which will include the Vessel Tracking numbers and an email to you all confirming shipment.

A note from Danial, Product Manager

“Hi there - you don’t know me yet - but i’ve heard lots about you! :)

My name is Danial and I am responsible for the distribution and logistics of your Swytch Kit Deliveries. It’s never simple shipping a new product globally but we have worked hard to find a solution to offer free shipping where possible to our Backers and offer a World Wide service. The final push to cover all potential delivery issues has been made and we are expecting to crate up the orders this week and ship out next week. I’m working to get your Kits to you as soon as I can and ensure there will be no hold ups along the way, after the orders are out.

A quick note about the Complete eBikes. I can confirm that Cerys and Dmitro have pulled out all the stops to get the bike frames ready and included in Batch 1. We do still need to calculate and assess if there will be any issues regarding the logistics of the bigger/heavier order items arriving at certain ports and so will let you know as soon as we can if anything changes.”

A note from Oliver (CEO)

“Hello Everyone - thank you again for helping me make my dream, of a high quality, removable, easy to fit, environmentally friendly and affordable eBike Kit, come true! I couldn’t have done it without you and am working hard to keep us all moving forward to get your Kits to your door.

We will send you more specifics soon and a full shipment forecast in the coming days.”

A note to Batch 2 Backers:

Your orders are in Production and we will be sending out Batch 2 specific updates from now on to focus on your feedback and questions and to share the journey of your Swytch Kits. We really are grateful for your extreme patience - if we could have built all kits in time to ship together we would have done so, and appreciate your support so much. Our processes have naturally improved through this second run and anticipate a smooth, fast shipment after all production is completed.

Many Thanks to you all.

Hi Swytchers,

Thank You (Again!)

Thank you for the response to the last update. It sparked a lot of backers to realise that there was a problem with their order (wrong wheel size, no torque arm, etc.) which was very important! This was incredibly beneficial as we have now smoothed out all surveys, which were slowing us down.

There were a staggering 900+ orders and 40+ variations in Batch 1. This has been incredibly challenging due to the sheer number of orders and variations, but we have finally made it - and we could not have done it without you! So a big thank you once again.

Wheel Sneak Peek

We know that a lot of concerns lay in the fact that our production update video did not feature your Swytch motors in rims. Due to the time that it takes to edit videos, we couldn’t sneak it in to the production video.

To put your minds at ease, below is a sneak preview of exactly what your Swytch wheels look like. We’re very happy with the finish and they have all been tested over and over and over again to ensure that each and every one is working perfectly with the battery configuration.

Manufacturing Progress

Our team have been working incredibly hard, to finalise all the quality testing and cross checking items with orders. Below you will find pictures of packing which in underway. Each box has incredible care going in to it and we want to be sure that no box has been left unchecked.

Swytch Delivery Box

As you can see, the Swytch logo is in a box which looks like a Flat screen TV. Historically, some boxes carrying bike components are not always handled as lovingly (even if they are instructed to) as we’d like. Therefore, a big TV symbol on the outside of our packaging, should keep your Swytch Kit nice and safe on its journey, as delivery agents imagine there is a fragile LCD screen inside.

We know that this has been a longer process than we anticipated and are so grateful that you have been on this journey with us. We will be releasing another update next week regarding shipment numbers.

Hold on tight for your Swytch to arrive!
