Hello Everyone!

Thank you for all your patience this week and we hope some of you are busy 'Swytching' your bikes into eBikes as we speak! Those who have not received you Kits yet - they are on their way!

Just a quick update to confirm that half the orders to Batch 1 UK and EU backers are out for delivery. The other half are being sent tomorrow so tracking numbers should arrive in the next 24 hours.

I have been chasing this up today and can confirm this information. 

Please note that you can contact DPD via their APP and Website to change your address if necessary or delay delivery for the next day if more convenient. 

DPD will make two attempt to deliver your package automatically so if you miss a delivery you will receive a second notification SMS and Email informing you of a new time slot.

There are also 180 collection points to make delivery even more convenient if this would suit you better to have the item delivered and held at a collection point for you to collect when you are free.

Dear Batch 2 Backers,

 

We thank you so much for your patience while we have been processing our first orders. We have encountered delays along the way as you know and so we hope we can create a smooth and transparent process for our next shipments and deliveries. We would like to centralise our communication to try to improve our service and so will now begin by sending you Batch 2 specific Updates. We have lots we want to share and want to answer your questions as quickly as possible.

 

 

We have a number of different channels of communication open and it does create an additional overhead to keep up to date with all the latest news. If you would like a central place to communicate with us and ask questions please join our community Facebook group where the team will be on hand to answer questions and share information as it becomes available. We can also share images, videos and information much more quickly and efficiently. Thank you for your support in this.

Dear Backers,

We are really happy to say that the Swytch Kits have arrived in the UK and are currently with the DPD Depot sorting offices being re-labelled and dispatched for home delivery across the UK and Europe. 

Apologies for the delay with this announcement, we have been so busy making arrangements to support you through the arrival of the Kits and will be on hand throughout the delivery and after care process. 

You will receive notifications via DPD Email and SMS (if you provided a mobile number) to confirm the exact time your Kit will be delivered. If for any reason you need to change your delivery address you will be able to do this via the DPD website or messaging system.

EU orders will take a few days longer to be delivered but you will also receive notifications of when to expect delivery.

 

 

The Swytch Kits were designed for everyone and are very easy to fit. Even if you do not enjoy too much DIY action, with the instructions we have prepared and our FAQ’s you should be able to fit your kit easily.

Hi everyone!

Thank you for all your patience over the last few weeks - you have all been kind waiting for information on the different batches and shipments.

This is a very quick update specifically to you Batch 1 USA Backers

In our previous update we stated:

"The USA Shipment for Batch 1 will be collected and arrive at Shanghai Port this Thursday 23rd August 2018. The shipment will be approximately 2 weeks on the Sea and you will receive a Vessel Tracking number next week, so you can track its progress to the USA Port."

 

I am sorry to announce that due to another but final Security hoop we had to jump through, the shipping forwarder cancelled collection on the 23rd and re-scheduled the shipping date. 

The new shipping date is the 7th of September 2018.  

I am very sorry that we had another additional delay. This really was out of our hands, however, I appreciate a bit of communication may have helped. I did not want to post an update until I was 100% certain of the date.

I will post an update confirming collection on the 5th of September and then again on the 7th along with the Vessel Tracking number.

Hi everyone!

Apologies for the delay in answering your recent questions and comments. We are really appreciative of your feedback and will answer all your questions as soon as we can.

Today I would like to give you some more clarity and confirmation on the following:

  • Batch 1 UK Delivery times
  • Batch 1 EU Delivery times
  • Batch 1 USA Shipment Date
  • Batch 1 USA Shipment Delays: Causes and Solutions.
  • Batch 1 ROW Shipment Dates
  • Batch 2 UK / EU/ USA Production and Estimated Shipment Dates
  • Batch 3 UK / EU/ USA Production and Estimated Shipment Dates

 

Batch 1 UK Delivery times - Shipping

As many of you know, and are tracking the Shipment from China to Felixstowe in the UK - it is due to arrive on the 29th August according to latest Shipping forwarding estimate. You will then, once the goods have cleared customs, receive a unique tracking number for your Order so you will be able to schedule your time for signed delivery. We will send you confirmation of its arrival on Wednesday 29th August, or before if we receive more information.

 

Batch 1 EU Delivery times - Shipping

All Batch 1 EU packages are shipped into the UK in the first shipment which will be the 29th of August according to the latest Shipping forwarding estimate. You will then receive a unique tracking number for your Order so you will be able to schedule your time for signed delivery. EU deliveries will then be couriered to those respective countries within the EU ready for local direct to your door delivery. This will likely only be 3-5 working days as standard once the items have cleared customs. We will release another update with more detail on this soon.

 

Batch 1 USA Shipment Date - Paperwork Complete

The USA Shipment for Batch 1 will be collected and arrive at Shanghai Port this Thursday 23rd August 2018. The shipment will be approximately 2 weeks on the Sea and you will receive a Vessel Tracking number next week, so you can track its progress to the USA Port.

 

 

Why was the USA Shipment delayed two weeks since the last update?

Due to scheduling and the destination location we are using a different shipping company for the USA Containers. We discovered that due to recent heightened security for goods entering into America there were some administrative processes which were slightly more complex and time consuming to overcome. We were therefore unable to send the goods in time for our deadline outlined in our last update. We are deeply sorry for this and have done everything in our power to ensure such processes do not delay us again.

We are now all cleared and the Container has been scheduled for shipment and will be collected on Thursday with no further ado. Thank you to you all for patiently waiting for this shipment and we wish it a speedy arrival so that you don’t have to wait much longer.

 

Batch 1 ROW Shipment Dates - Paperwork Complete

We have scheduled the AXA Shipping forwarder for Australia and ROW collections. Batch 1 ROW orders are packed and ready for collection.  Due to the LCL (small order shipment - which means sharing a large shipping container due to smaller quantity being delivered within an existing container load) practise we are now at the mercy of the Shipping Forwarder for collection and expect to be contacted, confirmed and collected within the next 5 days. This means the shipping company could collect today or any day from today up until early next week. Apologies we cannot specify a particular day, unfortunately we are not in control of this aspect of this shipment. We will send an update the moment we have a Shipment Date from them.

 

Batch 2 UK / EU/ USA Production and Estimated Shipment Dates

As soon as the final shipments outlined above are complete we will start to schedule and outline with much more clarity the Batch 2 Order Delivery information. Sorry for the delay in sending you more personalised specific updates in regard to your orders. We are working on this now. Rest assured we are working hard to get each order complete and our quality checks for the Batch 2 manufacturing in progress.  Thank you so much for your patience.

 

 

Batch 3 UK / EU/ USA Production and Estimated Shipment Dates

Batch 3 Orders will be In Production immediately after the next manufacturing round is set up. We have been improving our processes with each round and so don’t foresee any delays. So we will give you some more information with some accurate estimated shipment dates as soon as we can. We will also do our best to Batch as many orders as we can together to reduce lead times on the most recent orders where we can. Thanks so much for your support.

I will personally ensure that another update it sent out again soon as I'm aware that due to being very busy and a bit short staffed for the last few weeks we did not get enough information out and this naturally causes concerns. We are prioritising the shipments and manufacturing so please do not worry if you have not heard from us or received an email immediately - we are busy behind the scenes processing your orders.
